The Mbaise Association of Saskatoon is a vibrant, not-for-profit community organization dedicated to connecting, empowering, and celebrating Nigerians from the Mbaise region of Imo State who now call Saskatoon home.
It all began on Saturday, August 13th, 2022, when members of the Mbaise community gathered for the first time at the Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park & Zoo. What started as a simple picnic quickly blossomed into something much deeper—a shared desire to connect, engage, and build something lasting.
From that heartfelt gathering, the vision for a central, representative organization was born. In 2024, the Mbaise Association of Saskatoon was officially registered as a Not-for-Profit Association in Saskatchewan, Canada, marking a new chapter in our journey.
We are a growing network of individuals bound by culture, community, and purpose. Our association is a space where members can find support, share experiences, and work together toward common goals. Whether through workshops, gatherings, or collaborative initiatives, we are committed to building a legacy of unity, pride, and progress.
We envision a thriving, inclusive community where Mbaise people in Saskatoon can flourish socially, culturally, and economically.
Our goal is to foster development, deepen community engagement, and create a positive environment built on mutual respect and understanding.
We unite and uplift the Mbaise diaspora in Saskatoon by:
Organizing dynamic social, cultural, and educational events
Creating opportunities for networking, mentorship, and collaboration
Celebrating our rich heritage and shared values
Supporting members in their personal and professional growth
Strengthening relationships and promoting community well-being
